Thea Brandt paints in bold, saturated fields of color built up from loose, gestural underpainting — work that reads as graphic from across a room and as considered brushwork up close.

A self-taught colorist with a decade in commercial design before turning to canvas full time, she treats every painting as its own color problem first, letting boldness and timeless technique meet on the canvas.

Her work has shown in group exhibitions across the Pacific Northwest and hangs in private collections nationwide. A limited number of commissions are accepted each year.
