Renata Kohl paints from a converted grain silo overlooking the flats outside Enkhuizen, moving between
wide, quiet landscapes and abstractions built from the same fields, seen closer and faster.
She trained in classical composition before letting color take over where the drawing left off. Each
piece is built in thin acrylic layers, often over the course of several weeks.
Her work has shown in small galleries across the Netherlands and is held in private collections
throughout Europe and the U.S.
