Original Acrylic Paintings

Ingrid Halvorsen

Paintings that take their time — quiet fields, worn color, the kind of stillness you only notice once you stop moving. Original work, studio direct.

About the Artist

A slower kind of looking

Ingrid Halvorsen paints from a small coastal studio, working in acrylic on canvas and paper. Her fields, dunes, and quiet abstractions are built in thin, patient layers — never rushed, never forced to resolve too quickly.

She trained in landscape painting before drifting toward abstraction, and now moves between both without much concern for the line separating them. What matters is the color holding still long enough to be believed.

Her work is held in private collections across the Netherlands and the U.S. East Coast. She takes on a small number of commissions each year.
