Frequently asked questions

Do you work remotely or on-site?

Both. Most work is done remotely, which keeps costs down and lets us serve clients anywhere in Michigan. We do on-site visits when the project warrants it — network work, hardware installation, or staff training often benefits from being in the room.

What size businesses do you work with?

Primarily 5–100 employees. Small enough that leadership is still hands-on with technology decisions; large enough to have meaningful complexity and real risk from outdated systems.

Do we need a long-term contract?

For projects, no — we use milestone-based agreements with payment tied to deliverables. For retainers, we ask for a 3-month initial commitment so we can learn your environment properly. After that, month-to-month.

How long does a typical project take?

Assessments take 1–2 weeks. Implementation projects range from a few days for simple migrations to 2–3 months for complex infrastructure overhauls. We scope every project in writing before any commitment.

Do you sell software or hardware?

No. We recommend what's right for you and help you procure it at standard pricing. We don't take vendor referral fees — our only incentive is your outcome.

Can you help with HIPAA or other compliance requirements?

Yes — we've worked with healthcare and legal clients and understand the baseline technical controls required. We can implement compliant configurations and documentation, though formal compliance certification requires a qualified auditor.
